Excellent shots. Houston's got a great stock of modern skyscrapers. A qusetion for Houston forumers - does the light rail ever run in multi-car consists (two or three car trains)? It seems like all the photos I've seen are just the single car.

Easily some of the best downtown Houston photos I've seen on this forum. Absolutely terrific. Especially enjoyed the night shots at the end. What day of the week/time of day were you strolling around?

Houston is not an easy city to shoot pics of because of the highways and frequent clouds. You did a wonderful job!

Thanks for the comments. I really was impressed with Houston. I was there from Thursday to Saturday (June 18-21). My downtown shots were mostly from Thursday afternoon/evening and Friday day/evening. The night shots were Friday. I think I was lucky as both days there were thunderstorms & heavy rain in the early evening but it lasted no longer than an hour or two.
I took the light rail down to the Texas Medical Center and back downtown, it was one block from my hotel. I was pleased at how frequent the trains came and they were relatively full. |
