Thanks for the updates.

The tallest towers look alot like one of the NY WTC designs... I think it's the Greenwich one I'm thinking of.

NYC4Life Aug 20, 2008 5:22 PM

Yup it does, resembles 175 Greenwich without the spires.

colemonkee Nov 21, 2008 3:42 AM

Wow. It looks like they excavated an entire city.

jaga185 Nov 22, 2008 4:27 AM

This building looks awesome, I can't wait to see the finished project.

TANGELD_SLC Nov 25, 2008 6:18 AM

WOW that hole is mega mammoth!

NYC4Life Nov 27, 2008 6:49 PM

Reminiscent of Ground Zero here in NY, only looks deeper.

Moneyman Dec 23, 2008 2:46 AM

T1 is actually 345.8m high, above basement level, with 36m basement. It has 72 floors. T2 is 271m high above basement level with 58 floors.

The Retail has 7 floors above and 2 flors below ground.

There is a 350 bed hotel at 29 levels above ground. The whole development is now 673,000m2 in total, as at today.

Construction has been ongong for the last year, now at Foundation level across the majority of the site, except the Hotel end which is top down. Basement is 38m (from ground level) deep in certain areas, coming up to 29m in the Hotel end.

There is circa 27,500m2 of D Wall, with 5,480 earth anchors (not in the Top Down area though). The foundatons for Tower 1 in progress, along with the pads for the Retail.

More current pictures to be posted later this week

Thanks for the info.

I wonder if the new height figure is a correction of a previous mistake or the result of a redesign.

Doesn't look like much has changed at either the IPark or the IFC site. A glance through the construction gate at IPark revealed foundation/structural "stuff" (sorry, I'm not an architect or engineer) reaching towards the top of the hole. There was a lot of activity at both sites, with cement trucks going in and out and crews of construction folk hammering and lifting and whatnot. There are a lot of cranes employed at both sites. Maybe Seoul will finally get a supertall or two.

Doesn't look like it's on hold. The person who took this says this is just very slow.
