Damn, where did this thing come from?

JDRCRASH Feb 4, 2009 9:16 PM

Damn, what are those towers on the far left of that last picture? They're monsters...

John Hinds Feb 4, 2009 10:50 PM

It looks amazing in the rendering, but up close the final finish of the materials makes it look a little cheap.

Jonovision Feb 5, 2009 4:11 PM

Great tower! I love the organic nature of the structure.

Need another rendering, that one makes the tower look a lot shorter than 388m IMO.

WOW!!:eeekk: :eeekk:

Hmm... it's okayy.. Not a big fan of it though and a better design with less distractions would look better. It's an okayy building though. I just hope they don't add that glass skirt shown in the renderings to the bottom part of the tower... Save money, make it look better.

Wow that is u-g-l-y!

That other 2000' twisty tower is sooo much better and has the added advantage of not looking cheap with all sorts of plasticy looking detail panels on it. Nothing is better than pure structural expression, which the Chianese do well ala the other tower and the CCTV building, even if they are abusing structure to make extreme shapes. They should not go the route of Dubai with crap like this...

Amazing design !

MapleLeaf Feb 22, 2009 12:06 PM

Indeed. The materials look really cheap. It looks like it could crack any moment.

Bergenser Feb 22, 2009 3:49 PM

Futuristic tower!
