I can't see Court 17. What is that?

One or two (I hope two!) sizeable projects are underway along the Foss Waterway -- one housing and one housing/offices.

James Bond Agent 007 Jan 22, 2007 6:04 AM

Wow, good job! About time one of us got ambitious and collected some Tacoma projects. :frog:

northface Jan 22, 2007 6:46 AM

Don't forget the bridge, one of the coolest projects in all of the Pacific Northwest.

taken about 2 weeks ago.

Wonderland: That's a great picture of the bridge construction.

Northface: Jay Heights start? That's a good question. I haven't been in town in a while to check on the site.

Dougall5505 Jan 23, 2007 12:34 AM

the narrows looks completley different then that pic of back in th day....whenever it was taken. lol

zilfondel Jan 23, 2007 3:05 AM

The original Tacoma Narrows bridge was built without deck stiffening trusses, which you can see in the two new bridges in post #5

der Reisender Jan 23, 2007 3:40 AM

cool to see so much happening in Tacoma, of all places. are there any plans to expand the streetcar there?

horatio_the_hermit Jan 23, 2007 5:44 AM

Nice stuff going up in TACOMA.

mSeattle Jan 23, 2007 7:53 AM

Added more projects.

NW Mike Jan 23, 2007 5:16 PM

Great work finding all these new projects. I love Chelsea Heights and Jay Heights.

jerremyl Jan 23, 2007 11:59 PM

Awesome! Tacoma finally has a projects page, why didn't I think of it. Oh well :)

mSeattle Jan 24, 2007 12:55 AM

What can I say... (puffs chest) ;) :D
You can help us stay current.

Hoodrat Jan 24, 2007 2:29 AM

I will say thanks for all the Tacoma effort, mSeattle. Especially considering you don't even live here.

I am planning on getting a camera with my tax return, so hopefully will be able to contribute with more than just praise or scorn for architecture and planning issues.:D

mSeattle Jan 24, 2007 2:33 AM

Awesome. Court 17 needs confirmation of completion of if still under construction. Also actual photo of Marcato would be cool.

Black Box Jan 24, 2007 5:31 AM

Thank you for giving props to Tacoma. Hoodrat, please fill us in with the Tacoma happenings in the future and take great photographs of this often overlooked dusty old jewel on the South Puget Sound. Sorry to project such a demanding tone, but it would be great to see more Tacoma related threads.

WonderlandPark Jan 24, 2007 5:35 PM

I, too, like Tacoma. Maybe I'll head up there if its sunny this weekend and wander around shoot the town and bridge, I'd like to get a bridge shot with Rainier more visible than the crappy day I was there.

seaskyfan Jan 24, 2007 8:16 PM

Nice update!

I had no idea the bridge was so far along. Last time I went by on the train they were just getting the cables up - nice to see the roadway.
