[QUOTE=Martin Mtl;7644272]Testing for the illumination of Mount Royal for the 375th birthday celebrations of the city (I'm not kidding!)

This looks really neat but I prefer the "mountain" as a black silhouette. I'm glad it's only temporary.

We were there this summer and it was spectacular. That bridge is scary! I calmed my nerves at the crèmerie and later, at the microbrasserie across the street.

They have two other forests in QC and I think they are opening another near Ottawa.

Illuminated since 1879. I wonder if this is the first natural wonder ever to have a permanent light display. On a side note it was illuminated once before in 1860 for a Royal visit.

Good timing with this thread. Niagara Falls On just unveiled their new LED system 5 days ago. Too bad this is from the New York side with the shitty view.

The lighting rig. Pretty cool set up.

This has been running in Old Port-Old MTL since the summer. It's a series of video murals depicting important people and events in history. The app is quite good and gives you a description of each murall as you approach it. It also allows you to break your tour into two circuits if you're not able to do them all in one night (approx 3 hours)

Cool idea. Love to see other cities in Canada pic that up.

Cité-mémoire is fantastic. They are suppose to enlarge it. From what I've heard, the gigantic blind wall of the Palais de justice will serve as the largest screen in the installation in its second phase.

The NCC has big plans for improved lighting of landmark buildings and monuments in Downtown Ottawa and Hull. We'll see how that goes.

I find that Vienna does a very good job of this:
