My cousin is a chef at Xfinity Live!... last time I talked to him was in the summer and he said they were planning Phase 2. He said Phase 2 is a must because they don't have enough kitchen room for all the restaurants.

I was horrified by the photo (upthread) of the 12th & Arch Street garage, so I took a walk past it. Lo and behold, the picture did not do it justice. It's even more hideous in person. Caution, requires eyewash.

It's okay at best... I'm just hoping one day it is demolished and replaced with a highrise

IS it just me or would a few more granarys basically filling in this area be a great new nabe

Its almost a suburban apartment incarnation with 0 lot street facing. Think this could work.

I also could envision a similar dynamic in the old warehouse district just east of the stadiums - walkable to PT and good highway access. A new urban styling for Philly more like new urbanist sunbelter style. I think there would eb a market for this

Skatepark

It's been a while since I've walked on SR Trail (that's another post on another site) but from the warmth of my car while driving on 76 the other day I noticed activity on the site of Paine's Skatepark on the SR trail near the Art Museum. Does anyone have any news on this development?

Ground was broken on Paine's Park in October, which would explain the activity on the site, haha. There's more information on the project on the park's website:

What else????

The parking garage by the CC is much nicer than the H2S hotel. And I like those Logan Sq homes. A very attractive way to incorporate red brick into a modern building with a bit of a retro 50's touch.

I was thinking the other day driving on 95 how big of a shame it is that Camden is such a hole. How much having thriving waterfronts between the two cities would add to them. Camden is in such a state of flux that I can not really see a future as far as digging out of the hole they are in. What new business's would want to be associated with Camden? What benefits are there to the city?

Its a real shame because the comination of a Philly Skyline with some kind of skyline from Camden would be a real view heading towards the city from north and south. Jersey City to Manhattan, but on a much lesser scale.

Interesting. I didn't know they had changed the name of it as well as the alignment of the development. I hated to see the Spectrum demolished but now that it has been I hope they can continue to fill in those massive parking lots.

Looks like the name for this could be "Franklin Square"?

A new render has surfaced on this... no word which render is final
