très jolie comme ville :D
Fascinating stuff. Until the last half or so, it looked nothing like the Paris I remember. Even then, a lot has changed since I've been there.
Fantastic angle to the whole thing! Asymetricalish.

Diggin'.

Beautiful city, beautiful shots, thank you so much for the tour!
I don't know, maybe I'm immature but I can't look at this and not giggle: |
I really like seeing this version of Paris.
Awesome photos of Paris, it looks like some of the areas around the city I visited. It's cool to see part of the city many tourist tend to avoid, thanks for sharing.
the good, the bad, the ugly. I enjoyed the gritty tour. I saw much of the grittier side of Paris during my last three visits (in addition to the usual touristy areas), but never made it to La Defense (nobody goes to Paris simply to visit skyscrapers).
:previous: Surprisingly there are quite many tourists in La Défense.

Great tour!!! I enjoyed this set so much! I love that feeling I get when I see new juxtapositions and compositions in familiar places. It makes me want to pack all my bags and take the next plane to that spot.
Cool. I wanna go.
I recognized Montmartre and the other touristy arrondissements, and the non-touristy 10ieme arrondissement, 15ieme arrondissement, etc.

While I was technically in the city core, the elements that made up the neighborhood were the same elements I and many others identify with the Paris suburbs. In contrast to Crimée; Les Halles, St. Michel-Notre Dame, Charles de Gaulle Etoile among other places deep in the core felt like a different city. But now I know better and will be sure to venture further out next time I'm in Paris :) btw some of the other places seen on this thread include Javel, Pigalle, Stalingrad, and Gare du Nord. |
Now that's urbanism.
Good ol Gare du Nord. Fuck that place is busy.
