i wonder when Toronto will go taller than the First Canadian Place.

they obviously have the need for space at least.

The project looks rather good might become great of they do a good amount of shops at ground level and a more extensive marina

MolsonExport Feb 7, 2011 1:31 AM

this would be a great addition. Where is the info on the # floors derived from?

caltrane74 Feb 26, 2011 1:48 PM

This proposal is dead in its current form. The property has been sold, and has been approved zoning now for 50 floor plus towers.

New developer will like have some new proposal for the site shortly.

Travis007 Aug 31, 2011 12:50 PM

This project has been bought by Empire, and brought back to life. It's name will be, Eau du Soleil....I know, ridiculous. No renderings have been released yet, but speculation on the new design is that it should look interesting. Details should be released soon.

caltrane74 Sep 7, 2011 5:11 PM

Another rumour has it that these twin towers will be 70 floors each....

so the wait and see game begins.

Dr Nevergold Sep 7, 2011 5:55 PM

Etobicoke-Lakeshore has become an interesting highrise area, I'm quite impressed watching it grow up.

caltrane74 Sep 29, 2011 8:41 PM

Word is this tower will be between 60 and 65 storeys. (shorter tower 40 to 45 floors)

Renderings will be released shortly.

Dale Sep 29, 2011 9:43 PM

The thread title says 2 X 50 floors. According to my math that's 100 stories. Another 100-story proposal!

*runs away*

MolsonExport Sep 30, 2011 12:29 AM

^near my home, they are building 100 others at 2 stories apiece! 200 storeys!!

caltrane74 Dec 12, 2011 11:25 AM

These towers are to be called Eau de Soliel.

The rumour has these towers at 62 floors, and 200 meters.

Condo to be going into sales shortly.

Stop it! Stop it NOW!

yaletown_fella Jan 23, 2012 9:09 PM

These towers look rediculous but the scale is definelty impressive albeit inappropriate.

I hope they'll at least be some degree of retail podium. I presume the rainbow colored glass section is some sort of parking garage?

Gresto Jan 23, 2012 9:14 PM

I like it. It's different without being gaudy like a discordantly ugly Libeskindian shard of glass, or similar rubbish. I like like the diagonal lines that separate the two shades, and the various gradients on and near the base. And the concave sloped roofs look smart in the render as well.

DrNest Jan 24, 2012 1:26 AM

I like this latest rendering.
Ditto to a few posts back, I hope they put in some much needed retail and bars in the podium. With so many residents in this area within a few years they will be definite need for it.

Vertigo3000 Jan 24, 2012 4:44 AM

I really like that, really good for the Humber Shores!

Dwils01 Jan 24, 2012 10:15 PM

I actually like this one. The only thing I'm not sure of is the lines running down the towers.
I just hope the white material on these renders is of decent quality when the construct these towers.

caltrane74 Jan 26, 2012 7:16 PM

Apparently the design could be tweaked a bit before it goes to sales.
