Attended Drexel for a year for business back in 2005. I can't believe this is going up - it looks great, along with all of the other new construction/reconstruction on campus.

I agree, both Temple and Drexel are changing for the better.

Good news!

Remember that fountain controversy--the one where we discovered the switch for the fountain in the middle of Drexel's lower quad was in Matheson Hall?

According to this render, seen on the side of the work area, and photographed by me, it will be on when this building's done. Fingers crossed.

The direction Drexel is taking with its new buildings is an exciting one. The school has moved beyond its 'tech' roots but the new buildings incorporate that sense quite well.

That's a pretty sharp design. The renderings look good!

This needs a height change. The height will be approx. 200 feet.

Also, it is officially under construction

Guess they won't be putting up steel until spring. Amazing how this building in not suppose to be done until 201. Yet, the Chestnut St project will be done in Sept 2013.

This one is officially under construction. The foundations are in and they were putting up the crane this afternoon.

Will the building end up being about as tall as the crane in that picture? I'm thinking about the view impact looking west on Market St. It seems there are a few view changers in the works right now, both in UC and CC.

Yes, the building will be about as tall as the crane... maybe a little taller.
