hmmm, SSC works very well for me, the speed is even better than ever b4
f.e.:right now (7:45am, german time) i opened a thread with 64 pictures at first side within 4,68 seconds
and that is more than acceptabe IMO

ok, i have to admit that i don't know how many forumers are online right now, maybe i am the only one, but i don't think so :)

Well, seems it took a while for the new system to kick in. After a period of sudden uninitiated and utterly unwelcome logouts (just when I was ready to send a post or PM :hell: ) and extremely frustrating slowness, the forum now performs quite well.

EDIT: I take that back. Must have been a lucky moment.

Sinjin Sep 11, 2006 2:34 AM

Is it just me or is SSC inaccessible?

wjfox2004 Sep 11, 2006 1:16 PM

It's ludicrously slow.

Grumpy Sep 13, 2006 10:08 AM

I was right in the middle of starting a new summary and I got this:

There seems to have been a slight problem with the SkyscraperCity database.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

It is getting on my nerves

The Dear Leader Sep 15, 2006 6:31 PM

Anybody else getting the ol' database error?

Come off it, coth, and please quit giggling. There's nothing usual or normal about the constant appearance of that "slight problem with the database" message Grumpy cites on the previoius page. It's certainly normal & usual @ SCity, though.

A couple of days ago Jan said he'd have to shut the place down again in order to do whatever he has to do in order to achieve smoother performance. So perhaps that's what is going on now.

effer Sep 15, 2006 8:13 PM

SSC isn't working! :(

TowerPower Sep 15, 2006 8:20 PM

Grrrr. Stupid Database error.

Rambaldi Sep 15, 2006 9:07 PM

I post on both, but I am actually glad I have SSP to update on. SSC's failures is why I extend more of an effort on SSP, because I know when I wake up in the morning it is still there.

Skoulikimou Sep 15, 2006 11:11 PM

Stephan23 Sep 15, 2006 11:31 PM
