Ive posted this photo before in my first Pittsburgh thread, but this is pretty much the first photo I took of Pittsburgh within the first few minutes of being in the city from Mt. Washington.

Beautiful pictures, photoLith! Thanks for sharing.

Your photography is art. Beautiful night shots and views of Pittsburgh. Your long exposure shots are amazing. Enjoyed a lot!

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain!

Awesome set! I'm looking forward to more.

Awesome...when is the book coming out!

I want to get all the seasons in there, and it takes a lot of research for what Im doing. Plus Im kind of waiting to get my 14-24 fixed, Ive really only been using two lenses sense Ive been here, my 50mm and 70-200 so its been kind of limiting me in which photos I can take. I just sent my 14-24 off and I expect it to be at least a grand to fix, so that sucks.

Urbana Jun 23, 2013 11:47 PM

The "huge random church" is actually St. Vincent College, a catholic university in Latrobe.

simms3_redux Jun 24, 2013 1:22 AM

Great pictures and congratulations on your move!

Oh yeah, I couldnt quite remember where it was, I was way off.

ColDayMan Jun 24, 2013 3:01 AM

Just an FYI, Wilkinsburg is actually a suburb of Pittsburgh (though certainly not a traditional one!).

Great shots!

photoLith Jun 24, 2013 3:02 AM

Well, not a post war suburb, its continuous urbanism from downtown all the way to Wilkensburg pretty much, then the post war suburbs start after that, and then its Monroeville and whatnot.

Kingofthehill Jun 24, 2013 3:06 AM

solid work! now i want to visit pittsburgh.

ski-man Jun 24, 2013 3:21 AM

Very nice!!! Let me know if you have any from Braddock, Rankin or North Huntingdon, my old stomping ground.

diskojoe Jun 24, 2013 3:42 AM

Some great stuff. Ive seen half these already but the gallery of them together really just makes it that much better. I want to come visit now too. :help:

Your penetration has been deep and energetic. Lawrenceville has changed a great deal, if you could have seen the neighborhood 10 years ago the last thing you'd call it is a hipster neighborhood. Its went from rough and tumble to hipster in the past few years.

photoLith Jun 24, 2013 3:55 AM

Yeah, Larwencville was basically like where Im living now, across the river in Millvale, pretty white trash. Larwencville still has a ways to go in a lot of areas, but its rapidly changing.

Nineties Flava Jun 24, 2013 4:01 AM

This is one of the best threads I've seen on SSP, there were a lot of interesting angles in here.

Just ignore my comment you bastard!

photoLith Jun 24, 2013 4:23 AM

I'm sorry thank you for your comment, will you ever forgive me?

pghusa Jun 24, 2013 5:47 AM

PhotoLith,

Huge Kudos! Great set of photos, love them. Always admired Houston's post 1960s urbanism and glad to see a native Houstonian enjoying a city that is just a beautiful but perhaps in a completely different way/era.

Really enjoyed these and can't wait for your next update!

glowrock Jun 24, 2013 12:33 PM

I feel like I need to comment here, but I think everyone else has pretty much taken the words right out of my mouth. Those shots are stunning, dude!
