People from Atlanta love khakis.

Impressive, I had no idea Atlanta had such an amazing park! Thanks

Fantastic. I love the image of a park ringed by high-rises.
|
Nice. Man I miss the VA Highlands and that Park is by far one of the best metro parks in the country ...with a huge bar attached tah boot!
|
Very nice park! It´s so green and it has so large grasslands. I like very much that kind of parks.
It reminds me of Central Park, NYC. Thanks for sharing your pictures! Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain. |
Piedmont Park is great. Good job of showcasing it in your photos. It should really be active and crowded this weekend with the 76th Annual Dogwood Festival.
|
I was lucky enough to live on the edge of the park for a few years back in the 90s. Those were great years of my life. What a park!
|
Very nice, looks much like that of Central Park of New York with high-rise on the boarder of the park. Atlanta really looks up to New York and it shows.
|
Thanks for the pics!
Piedmont Park also has a lot of areas not captured in these pictures, including a wetlands trail, interactive fountains, a carousel, dog parks, and tennis courts. |
We were passing through Atlanta this day and were in the park the same time you were! I carefully looked through your photos to see if I recognized any familiar scene, but didn't make a connection with any. It was just as beautiful as your pictures portray! :)

Thank you all for your feedback!
Yes, it really is a great park and it absolutely reminds me of Central Park too. |
Piedmont Park was redesigned by the Olmsted Brothers in 1903, or something like that. It fell into major disrepair for a few decades, and then the Conservancy was formed and has since injected something like $80-90M into the park in the last 20 years. I live in a highrise (which you can't see) a few blocks away. The park is also ringed by mid-rises of 5-10 floors, which you can't see because of the trees. It's probably the only place in the south that is truly "big city". Atlanta also has several other equally impressive parks - Centennial Olympic, Grant, Chastain, Old Fourth Ward, heck even Stone Mountain out in the burbs. I feel fortunate to live here. Thanks for the photos!

Definitely a place I would love exploring. That last shot is great, would be nice to see more pics of the buildings that border the park.

Please post some photos of the area around (but outside of) the Park.
PS: this beautiful woman has a great, curvey bod. Her legs, hips, and butt look delicious. Also, she appears to be going commando, or she's wearing a micro thong. http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...1/IMG_0271.jpg |
Amazing views from that park.
|
great pics. i've never been in the park...i think i'll have to change that.
