Oh okay. That's great news haha! Any other major potentials on Edmonton's horizon though?

There are a few condo proposals, though I am not sure any are high enough to make the list. We should be getting a few significant proposals coming down the pipe in the next year as excitement over the arena district ramps up.

Montreal might soon have a 214m tower proposal. It all depends how accurate Vaillant's scoop is.:P

That would be awesome! Did he mention the potential location or whether office or condo?

Chadillaccc Jun 12, 2012 7:12 AM

Wow that would be out of this WORLD for Montreal! What an exciting rumour! Hopefully we'll hear something concrete soon!

and that would be great for Edmonton, Bulliver! Is there any news on the progress on the rest of the Stationlands development? Tower B would have been on this list by now had it been officially proposed yet... or has it been?

Chadillaccc Jun 12, 2012 7:13 AM

Oh btw I updated the entire list on the first page and added the most up to date and/or detailed renders that I could find. If anyone has any better versions please let me know and I'll post them on the list asap!

If I understood correctly the proposed tower should be a mix of offices and condos and would be in Griffintown.

Nouvellecosse Jun 13, 2012 5:14 AM

I'm surprised to hear of something like that proposed for there. I didn't think the area would have enough demand for something of that scale. Isn't the area a bit run down?

Well, Griffintown is probably the hottest real estate market at the moment in Montréal (with Ville-Marie) with thousands of condo units under construction and more coming in the near future. Several projects including condos, office, commercial spaces and hotel are going up at the moment. It is run down for the moment but that will not be the case in a few years.

However, there is a height limit in most of Griffintown. The higher projects U/C reach that limit at 20 storeys.

Thanks a lot dude! Totally forgot about that one!

Metro-One Jun 13, 2012 6:46 PM

Dude, where is Vancouver's Turn at 188 meters?

Chadillaccc Jun 13, 2012 6:51 PM

It's under construction, not proposed.

Great to hear! I always thought the area was a bit "under-utilized" considering its proximity to downtown.

Can't wait to get the official heights of al the new Burnaby proposals, up to 57 stories tall.

Chadillaccc Jun 13, 2012 8:28 PM

Yeah I'm going to include the Station Square, Soho Burnaby, Soho London and Montreal proposals in my list of potential inclusions into the list, as they haven't officially released the heights yet or aren't official proposals yet.

This sentence makes no sense...

WhipperSnapper Jun 13, 2012 8:38 PM

I've never heard of Soho Burnaby or Soho London.

They are official proposals, in fact at Solo major excavation has been occurring, just for some reason we don't have the official heights...

Sorry I meant to say Solo Burnaby... the one in London is called Soho Wellington Centre, but I realized at 26 stories there is no way it could be included in this list.

and thanks Metro! I didn't realize that site prep was under way. I still don't want to include it in the list since, as I said, we don't have official heights. I was referring to the Montreal proposal as not being officially proposed.

I don't see how you can't comprehend that sentence... but I'm okay with that.

WhipperSnapper Jun 13, 2012 10:50 PM

Official heights are often never given. Solo is certainly farther advanced than the Surrey Civic Centre Project where a design has yet to be finalized.
