I like this one a lot. Curious to see how hat reddish cladding turns out. If it's stone or metal, it should look very nice. Painted concrete, not so much.

Yorkville expanding its grip to the North.

Interesting design, materials make or break it.

Not a fan of this. For Toronto, this is the equivalent to a low end design going up in the Upper East side on 5th avenue. It reminds me of Cityplace on steroids. The protruding boxes, crown and street level are atrocious. I like the red colored louvers but honestly this is a mess.

Site prep underway at The Yorkville Residence as the Yorkville skyline continues its push northward.

Oh my god!! Didn't realize this one was already in site prep!!!

This one is going to take Yorkville, upscale in a major way!!

Dwils01 Mar 22, 2012 6:52 PM

Site prep is now complete, shoring and excavation should start really soon.

So many of these projects seem to happen in wooded seculsion.

Did a full walk around Yorkville, completely missed this one.

I'm looking forward to this one. Wallman is putting together an impressive portfolio of designs for the city.

Yuck I forgot about this.

Agreed. The red cladding looks great, and I would like to see it finalised. But the disjointed boxes look so haphazard, a real mess. It looks to me like the architect was trying to achieve something, but didn't know clearly in his mind what he wanted, so just stuck some random thoughts together to produce this design.

Looks promising. Red is a good colour for cladding.
