Thanks for the renderings.
What is the story on the developpment near Umeda station ?? |
I'm not sure which development you mean specifically. These are some proposals for the area around Osaka and Umeda stations.
JR Osaka Station New North Building http://vgfun.voidaudio.net/lee/misc_...onshinkita.jpg Shin-Umeda Hankyu Office Building: As far as I can tell, the construction on this site has already started, but not on the building itself. http://vgfun.voidaudio.net/lee/misc_...medahankyu.jpg |
Viequ Tower Osaka, Apple Tower Osaka Tanimachi, and Sanctus Tower Shinsaibashi Milano Grande appear to have been completed.
I have updated the list with a couple new buildings, as well as added all images I could find for proposed buildings. I am interested in the Knowledge Capital Building, I like the design. |
thanks for the update , I appreciate it alot

Since I am in Tokyo I can't check up on the progress of the buildings in person, so I am generally relying on the internet for my information. Because of this, it's not always the most up-to-date information, but I try. Thanks for your interest in the thread! Can I ask why you're interested in Osaka?

I believe its one of the selden books that is printed of this city which does have more dan 10.000.000 people in its surroundings and nearly no one is giving it any attention. I know Tokyo is the biggest in Japan but Osaka is nearly totally neglected. The city spreaded along the changed riverbanks and many developments were built in the bay long before the Kansai airport was even built and those other many interesting things that were built. The big problem is to contact local administrations, I've written dozen of e-mails to official organisations but until today I have to recieve my first answer. The only answer I got was from the 2008 Olympic bid , they provided me with a wealth of information. A true shame that the Olympics are held in Peking... Osaka is by far the most under-rated megacity in the world ! To end with a question: are there any plans for line extensions in the local subway system? Several lines towards the new islands in the bay are run by trains or trams. To find info aboyt this...as usual :( |

Does this project consist of one or two towers ? |
^^^ only the tower on the left , the 2 others are already built
|
It's refreshing to see Osaka getting some love. This city doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Thanks for sharing the information.

I never really noticed that but I guess you're right.

Some construction pictures would be great to look at ;)
Doesn't the city of Osaka have a service who occupies with new developments ? |
I'm not sure where to find construction pictures unfortunately, and since I don't live near Osaka I can't take any of my own. I'll see what I can do to find some.

thank you
