You guys from Philly will laugh. I once was lucky enough to visit the place. The downtown feels grand, I remember that. Then, they were both proud and humble at the same time to take me to that 'Liberty Bell' they've got over there. They were watching my reaction, I still can remember. At that time - I was an ignorant teen who didn't give a damn - I tried my best to look interested to be polite like a stupid hypocrite, while I didn't take it seriously, like it was just some sort of boring must-see for the dummy, the random tourist. Well, seriously, I'm not kidding, along with the downtown streets and dear old buildings, it's that bell that's yet accurately in my memory. Strangely, today, that so-called Liberty Bell means something to me. I think i understand what the US once meant to many, maybe still means and I'm gald I actually faced that bell, right in my face. It may be a legend bell, it's also a precious symbol and a sign. You know, that's something, though.

Thanks a lot everyone!

blorkishdork, it was my annual pilgrimage to Montgomery County.

Segun, that's Germantown Avenue. The colorful buildings were done by our Mural Arts Program along with two Dutch muralists who painted the buildings in the same style they did favelas in Rio de Janiero.

mousquet, thanks for the thoughts. Symbolism gets lost on Americans sometimes - every iconic image has been commercialized to the point of losing all meaning. The US Flag, the Statue of Liberty and the Liberty Bell probably chief among them.

I'm feeling kinda high right now.

I see you went back to that art tunnel project thing.

Cute classy girl. And I really like the lights in this one.
