Looking not bad, Mokpo is really rare.

Yudalsan is quite a popular hike and is much busier than the main streets below. The path is paved and it is not too difficult to hike up to the first few observation areas. A cable car, albeit delayed, is under construction to make the ascent even more seemless.

South Korea looks alright, but rest of the areas are not as developed as advertised except Soeul.

Boseong is famous for its green tea plantations in terraced, hilly settings. Daehan Dawon is the region's most famous plantation and is open to the public for a modest fee. Many Korean dramas have filmed here, with many signs pointing to where and when.
Getting here for the non-Korean speakers can be a challenge. From Mokpo, intercity buses take 1.5 hours to reach the town of Boseong and its fairly rustic-looking bus station. The Maritime Museum showcases various hauls found from sunken wrecks. The best part is it is free to visit. Over 200 ceramic and celadon wares from Fujian were recovered from around Mado Island. These artifacts from the Song and Yuan Dynasties were originally destined for Korea and Japan.

There were a number of shipwrecks found in the southwestern part of the country near Mokpo. No trip to the Mokpo area is complete unless you make an island excursion. Heuksando and Hongdo are the 2 main tourism islands just off the coast. Both are relatively unknown on the international scene, and I seemed to be the only foreign tourist during my day trip excursion to Heuksando. English is not really spoken but locals are extremely friendly. They try very hard to help so the language barrier ended up to be a good thing.
From Mokpo, these large fast ferries make the 2-hour trip out. It took a bit of time to find someone who could speak some English to ask about the tour. Ultimately, I was told to come back about an hour later, as groups of locals filled up some of the buses one by one.
