Cool stuff - I think this is the first tour of Jersey City I've seen. Looks like a lot of new towers have gone up.
Is JC becoming a more popular residential option for people who can't afford Manhattan or the more expensive parts of Brooklyn? |
Nice pictures! I have some pictures of Jersey City that I'm working on right now. It looks like you covered a little more than me!
Driver8, Jersey City has long been a place for people to live for a lot cheaper than Manhattan or Brooklyn. I have a couple friends that commuted by PATH to Manhattan when they lived in that area. They all lived in the Downtown/Exchange Place neighborhood. |
Nice job! Except ...
http://i1340.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7tyq7rlq.jpg ... something happened to this one. Unless you did it on purpose? |

^ yes that area is quite popular and getting more and more so all the time. you can see on the sign i posted there will be two more of those funky stacked urby towers. also, the last construction pit up there toward the end of the thread is for 99 hudson, a new tallest for jersey city going up.

the tilt shift worked a bit better with the neighbor sign photo i think. instagram really needs to up their game with the effects, they could be easily improved. many are too dark and too similar. more tilt shift and the like would be nice too. fisheye would be fun. 3D? and i am sure more. unfortuately, its so crazy popular i think they can afford to remain lazy about the offerings. |
