How do they accommodate parking?

I read that the site will feature underground parking, but I did not see the usual ramps for automobiles go in, nor did I see something like a single elevator shaft built to reach the multiple underground levels that have gone in at the site.

I am sure I just don't understand the design, or didn't see what is plainly present in it. But can someone explain what I am missing here?

Thanks.

There has been a ramp under construction coming in from 15th. St. but this is not suppose to be a 'self park' garage, so the parking will be by valet. So they will be sticking cars in whatever corner they can find. It might be hard to pin point unless you are looking for it, but you can sortof make out the ramp in past photos.

That's unfortunate.
I personally prefer self-parking garages.

Better hope you don't find a dent on your vehicle because they won't pay for it. :hell:

The top of that picture on the North wall center you'll see a plywood tower. That's built on the ramp.

We got one lobby core panel stood up today before getting washed out.

Whu, which do you prefer - Working in low 40's and raining, or low teens and sunny?

I'd rather work in 0° weather than get rained on.

Been working outside since 1994

I hear ya. My wife's side of the family is all construction workers. Specializing in concrete, mostly low-rise industrial sites.

Agreed, in college I worked for a company that did residential and small commercial window cleaning jobs. Rain chills you to the bone and complicates every aspect of the job, with cold you just had to do was layer up and add alcohol to the soap so it wouldn't freeze.

Here's where your ramp will be to the garage.

There's a single core shared by both hotels since it's essentially one tower, right?

i walked by there yesterday and it was crazy to finally see construction above grade. Been a long time coming.

Rittenhouse1 Dec 1, 2016 12:59 PM

Thanks. I was looking for that ramp, didn't understand the setup from the earlier photos.

But wherever could you store alcohol on a job site? A hollowed out hand broom?
