And yeah some of the stretches were crazy with vertical walls of cliffs, signs telling you not to stop and clear signs of recents rock slides with house sized boulders scattered along the roads :)

Beautiful. Reminds me of Colorado here in the US. I don't think it's a coincidence that my German uncles and aunt call Colorado, Arizona and Utah home. They probably feel right at home near the mountains. Both my uncles are mountain climbers. One of them climbed Mount McKinley in Alaska, the tallest peak in North America.

^I haven't been to Colorado yet - but if it looks like Norway it sounds worth a visit :)

I can't get over how pretty it is there. It's strange seeing the mountains rise up above the clouds with the clouds low along the water.

Those glacier-carved landscapes are just absolutely stunning. What a great set of photos.

What were the temperatures like there in the valleys, the hills, and the mountain tops?

^around 20-22C in the valleys and around 12C on the tallest points I got ( probable a tad colder on the peaks )

superb collection of Norwegian nature here freki.

only thing missing really is the crazy mountains up north around Svolvær and Lofoten where they just jut right up from The sea without fjords many places

plenty of gorgeous pictures here

and the area around the sogne fjord and Vågå is very nice have been there several times myself and i hawe driven my atv all the way from Trondheim to Bergen twice over the Sogne mountain wich is a very nice road trip

only thing bothering me with all the beautiful nature in my homecounty is that i cant go offroad driving in it and its also friggin cold in the winters.
