I dig the signage.

Is that the final design? It's changed at least five times since first proposed.
|
Very nice. A lot of these mid rises have been springing up all over the area. Fits perfectly with the area.

I like this one. I agree. this one fits in nicely with the area. This will be the future of what the Hollywood skyline will be very soon.

Thanks for creating the thread, blackcat23. This will be a huge shot in the arm for what is already the most walkable part of Hollywood. The original Columbia Square building is really one-of-a-kind and the new buildings will complement it nicely. It's very exciting to see it moving forward.

On the Sunset Boulevard side, here's how the original Columbia Square buildings are looking right now. It's not pretty to see them gutted, but I'm sure they will look fantastic once they've been restored.

From what I saw yesterday, the residential tower looks like it has made the least progress.
I work across the street for this month so will continue to take pics. |
Great photo vantage point Wonderland, is that above Roscoe's?

I love how the rehab of the original Columbia Square buildings has turned out so far. The brightened paint gives the very handsome Moderne design the visual pop that it should have always had. I can't wait to see what they do with the reopened courtyard.
|
^ Absolutely. I don't understand why we aren't seeing more streamlined designs in this city. It's a style that's attractive, relevant, and cost-effective. Enough with the flamboyant shit.

Bump.
