Last we heard anything about the site was way back in 2006, when rumors were circulating that a 25-story tower was being built there. According to DOB records, this building started construction, but then stalled in 2008. A quick Google search for "325 Lexington" turns up a design for a building at the site created by Studio Dror. We're not sure if this is actually what the building will look like (we've reached out to Dror, but have yet to hear back), but if it is, then it's a pretty mindboggling tower.

This one is about 400 ft.

There are a bunch of development sites along this stretch of Lexington, so hopefully we'll get some more towers nearby.

Crazy this one popped up out of nowhere! If the renderings are correct, it should be quite nice.

Hot. We are getting a lot of seriously avant garde architecture here (finally).

It's good to have a few special gems, here and there.

Those construction pics seem to have little to do with the rendering posted above. Its too bad. And that gigantic blank wall is just depressing.

I was disappointed that they abandoned the shifting boxes and the huge blank wall, but the cladding on this building actually looks promising:

From dramaticlly daring to totally underwhelming, oh well! there is plenty of other developments to be excited about these days in NYC.

Looks like they borrowed some cladding from One Madison.

There has to be a recent pic of this building somewhere, right?

A 400-foot residential tower right around the corner, on Madison, was permitted today, so this will have company.

This is exactly what a skyscraper should be! It's underwhelming, boxy, and entirely derivative.
