Looks like there's some street retail (?) which is good.

JACKinBeantown Feb 14, 2015 1:22 PM

Works for me.

Curious on unit total. Looks like a big project.

Like the (apparent) retail.

That name? Can't be real, right? Alamo Riverwalk?

Unit count is somewhere a littke over 210 units, I believe.

Yes, that is ground floor retail.

The name is more than likely a placeholder.

Looks very nice!!! Keep the projects coming!!!!

I think the elevations will change somewhat. The ground level at Jones to the northwest is odd with brick where the store front would be. The white vinyl windows look tacky and cheap as well. Other than that this is pretty good. The landscaping and site plans have been conceptually approved. These elevations/facade arrangements haven't.

"Alamo Riverwalk" is a dumb name, that's what they call all those limited-service hotels that ring downtown ("Days Inn Alamo Riverwalk" etc). Cool looking building though!

This looks awesome! I love the architecture. The retail will definitely pull people from the museum as well.

Elevation, as in height, was approved as they met the criteria for their RIO zoning.

I like the overall massing, but why does it all have to be beige beige beige???

WorldTexas Dec 31, 2015 12:03 AM

They've dug out for the parking and basement. At six stories, will this one have a crane?

Hopefully those telephone poles will be history. I'd hate to come out onto the balcony with a view of cable running across it. :slob:

You may want to look at the renderings in the first post.

In that case they're also demolishing the art museum.

In all seriousness, CPS is making these new developments bury existing power lines.
