This view along with the one from the fountain are my favorite Belle Isle views.
You don't often get to see this view of New Center. Is this taken from the Boblo Warehouse? You know, someday with all of the extra transit links planned (and near-construction) for the area, we'll actually see companies buildings some high-rises in the district, again. I mean, with the planned BRT and streetcar linking up at the Amtrak station, which will also be a commuter rail terminus from Ann Arbor and the airport, you're going to have quite the transit hub in this area. There is so much unrealized potential in New Center. |

Love this shot...makes me look at Detroit as a city that hasn't lost yet! Still fighting! You can't see all the parking lots or abandoned streets.
