Old Canadian Skyline Pictures
As a younger person I haven't been as priviledged as others to the see the immense transformations of the skylines of our many great cities. On this thread I would love to see if anyone has some older pictures of any skyline in Canada.
The photos should be at least older than the last decade, so lets say 2000 as the absolute limit. Preferably though, it would be great to see some shots from the 60's ,70's and even older. Pictures of cities that didn't have any real "skyline" back in the day will also be counted, as long as they have discernible skylines now.:) |

^Great pictures so far, thanks for the link MonkeyRonin!:)
I love how the Calgary Tower dominated in those shots, how dense Montreal has been, and how weird the Toronto skyline looked in the late 60's, with just 2 massive boxes sticking out of an area of much shorter buildings. These are exactly the pictures I've been craving. Please keep them coming! |
Hamilton in 1948, unfortunately only the west part of downtown, missing some of the tallest buildings at the time like the Royal Connaught Hotel and Connaught Corporate Centre
