Would be a huge win for any Canadian city.

I'd say Vancouver's got the best shot at it

I think it won't go on the west coast but if they want to have a close connection to their seattle headquarters Vancouver would be the best.

Tor, NYC, MTL, Minny...

Amazon is already HQ'ed in Seattle. Vancouver has no chance. It will be located east if the Mississippi.

We FM the Amazon offices in Seattle. Vancouver seems about the right fit culture-wise |

first place that popped into my head was kitchener-waterloo

I doubt any Canadian city will be able to match the incentives and tax breaks that U.S centres will proffer. Although I suppose there would be a significant advantage to Canada in terms of salary costs.

Van has the best climate that Canada can offer. Americans coming to Canada would prefer Van's climate and outdoor activities over those in Eastern Canada.

Our Head office in Houston was knocked out for a week due to the hurricane, but asside for people not being able to get to the office it was pretty much business as usual for the company |
Vancouver has no advantages over Seattle anyway. This HQ2 will be in the East for sure.

Calgary has a shit ton of vacant office space and a very highly educated workforce, would be a good place for Amazon.
