Cool. Much more gritty than I pictured Munich somehow.

My city's sister city is lookin' good.

The area just south of Munich Hauptbahnhof (central station) is not the most polished of the city.

Nice pictures, but I don't really seem to be falling in love with the city...

thanks for the replies. and yes, this thread does focus on the grit (which there is). for the non-gritty, polished areas of the city, check out my older thread

Great selection. That shot of the two barmaids getting chatted up is too funny. I don't recognise this amazing structure:

lol. Is Munich normally this overcast? I don't know why, but I always had the impression that Munich was this sunny, wealthy city, but these photos show a different side, and I actually prefer it. Munich seems to have far more edge and character than I previously thought. Great pics. |
^Yeah when I was in Munich, it was a sunny ridiculously hot day in July. Seeing Munich shrouded in clouds took some adjusting!
great pics. |
thanks for the replies

Nice to see that Munich is not only about these wealthy historical and financial districts, the city also has a bit more gritty quarters.

Always liked this church. Took a snap of it from this angle ages ago. It sits like a ship. Well done, LSyd! |
