Never had a desire to visit Jamaica, but I've heard the natural beauty is outstanding. Thanks for sharing, we don't see photos all that often from this country. :tup:

Nice pictures. It's too bad that you didn't get a chance to really explore, but that's what happens when you stay at an all-inclusive resort. What did you think of Ocho Rios?

Ocho Rios was nice from what I saw. We actually stayed in Runaway Bay at the resort pictured in the first few pics. I wanted to the "backroads" scenic tour before we left, but we were down for a wedding and time constraints limited our tours to the Dunn's River Falls catamaran. Would love to go back sometime for pure vacation with just the wife and I and explore a bit more of the island.
One benefit of the all-inclusive: I probably ate enough food and drank enough alcohol during the week to have the trip pay for itself for both my wife and I. :cheers: |
That's what I meant by Ocho Rios. I couldn't remember the places down there. I know one place has a nude beach on an island. Did you like Runaway Bay?

The scenery through the north coast was very nice as a whole. There was a nude beach just around the point west of the resort we stayed in. Runaway Bay seemed to be a decent little town. Even though the resort was there, we didn't really get the chance to see much of the town other than on the bus tours. The one thing I really noticed after a bit of research was how much larger Runaway Bay and Ocho Rios especially felt compared to their actual (permanent) populations.
