New TO section! Moderators: Ramako and Leftcoaster

Welcome to the new Toronto section!

Ramako Dec 3, 2011 4:10 AM

On behalf of all the Torontonians on SSP, I want to thank Dylan for giving us a forum to call our own.

Will the Toronto threads in the Ontario section be moved to the new Toronto section?

Good idea. A little instant content may get the ball rolling.

Someone should start a construction thread similar to the other local sections

Innsertnamehere Dec 3, 2011 6:02 AM

YAY! should we start creating threads for individual projects?

Couldn't hurt, though I'm concerned that they may get lost among the non-project threads related to things like news, politics, infrastructure, sports etc.

Just to cover our bases, I've created some mega-threads to keep things concentrated:

U/C: Lowrise & Midrise (0-99m)
U/C: Highrises (100-199m)
U/C: Skyscrapers (200-299m)

Proposals: Lowrise & Midrise (0-99m)
Proposals: Highrises (100-199m)
Proposals: Skyscrapers (200-299m)

Cheers to Ramako and Leftcoaster!

Finally having a Toronto section is great news. This will provide better organization of the countless projects around the city. :)

Innsertnamehere Dec 3, 2011 4:58 PM

I was thinking that we should have 1 more subsection for construction, then everything else can go in this main thread.

dennis1 Dec 3, 2011 5:20 PM

How comne we didn't get a local SSP?

I would like this forum to be one of the most active on SSP and on the Internet.

MolsonExport Dec 3, 2011 6:15 PM

finally, and long overdue.

Gresto Dec 3, 2011 9:51 PM

Good, now we won't have to hear the whinging about Toronto domination of skyscraper construction. Just keep all the updates in here.

trofirhen Dec 4, 2011 7:52 AM

so, Toronto becomes part of Canada !

Great that people in Toronto have decided to open a Toronto form in the SSP Canada section! Welcome. Maybe even people from UrbanToronto will participate now. (BTW, you have an informed crew of moderators, be sure. Their contributions as Vancouver members were among the best)

Breaking down urban solitudes and sharing ideas. Constructive and productive.

Great to have a T.O. thread! My wife is from this great city, and since we can't get out to there as often as we used to (with toddler), we're both looking to see what's new there all the time! Once this section takes off, I won't have to visit the "other" forum for updates! :)

Congrats, Toronto! And in local vernacular, "Congrats, Tarah-na!" :)

We need people like you. Please move out here ASAP!

Congrats to the moderators.

Hopefully, it all works out. It's not as if the brass hasn't tried for years to develop a Toronto section.

We'll see how this first step goes and take it from there. It was contentious enough just to get a Toronto sub forum :)

If any of you have any suggestions on how to make the Toronto subforum better please feel free to share them in this thread or PM me.
