This is Pittsburgh in Toronto.

Pyongyang in London Ontario (or at least what I think North Korea would look like)

New Westminster has a lot of houses that look out of place for Metro Vancouver but remind me a lot of almost any Southern Ontario city.
|
A bit of Brooklyn in Ottawa's Centretown:
from: https://www.mattrichling.com/the-may...or-sale-ottawa https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/c...w/_DSC0048.jpg They filmed a couple of movies here through the years including Penthouse North in 2013 staring Michael Keaton |
Paging SignalHillHiker to post his pictures of O'Brien's Hill in St. John's. Could be Seattle/Vancouver in St. John's. I'm sure he has more too.
|
A challenge - take a virtual stroll down Bethnal Green Rd heading toward Shoreditch in London and tell me if the streetscape reminds you of any Canadian city. I walked it from the Bethnal Green Tube station a few weeks ago and found some of it had a very familiar feel.

James Street in Wallaceburg reminds me of James Street in Hamilton.
|
Poor old Wallaceburg. It's probably the only non-resource town in the country that has been in constant depopulation for 40 solid years.

Leafy Boston suburbia in the middle of austere working class Gatineau.

Ottawa with a bit of a Liverpudlian feel. Could be Baltimore or Philadelphia too.

Woah definitely.

There's a(n) (in)famous Putingrad-in-Markham pic that floats around. With a church at the end of the street. I remember photoshopping the stop sign on it :)

Generic Cascadia in St. John's.

Quinpool Road in Halifax reminds me of a neighbourhood commercial strip in Ontario, like some of the "avenues" in the outer parts of inner-city Toronto. It has a lot of old houses that have been converted to commercial units, which is something you see in parts of Toronto too.
http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/160...924/VIDq7w.jpg (from Google streetview) I thought this scene was interesting even though it doesn't resemble anything as a whole. On the left is a circa 1920 English garden suburb development, similar to Hampstead Garden Suburb in the London area. British planners contributed to the design of this area that was redeveloped after the Halifax Explosion in 1917. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/160...921/HaKQeh.png (from Google streetview) |
Agreed with the last two - could very easily pass respectively for BC and Ontario.
