Very interesting. I grew up in those tenements you captured there between Houston and Stanton. I remember going up on the rooftops as a kid at night to try and look up at the stars. Almost impossible from Manhattan but I remember being upset that I could hardly see any. You can actually climb/jump from rooftop to rooftop, they're close, as well as access the rooftops via the fire escapes. It was a great place growing up. Beautiful thread that brought back wonderful memories. Thanks!
