Neato! I never realized just how multicultural Paris really is.
Also, is this in the suburbs? The buildings appear pretty modern and there's lots of those corbusier-style high-rises. It doesn't conjure up images of what an outsider would typically think Paris looks like. |
No we are in Paris, look at the title "Central Paris".
The city of Paris is so small that Paris is only the center. So My Paris threads are : Central Paris = The city of Paris. Inner suburbs = oulter districts of Paris :) |
I love this part of Paris. Thanks for the tour !
|
Me too.

This is in the 13th arrondissement, correct? This is one of the more diverse and newer sections of the city, at least at the southeast end of it, and contains the city's Chinatown. When we stayed in Paris, we stayed just across the Boulevard Périphérique just off the porte d'Italie in the suburb of Gentilly. The area is an interesting one, and a little rough around the edges. I really enjoyed this part of town as it reminded me a bit of where I'm from.

Damn , your pics are good !
A Q: could this be a part of the disused orbital railway? http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/226/cimg0657co2.jpg |
All I need is some café au lait and a baguette and it'll be like I'm there.
Thanks, M_K, for continuing to feed my Paris addiction. |
I'm not looking at a map, but the area reminds me of streets around the 'Nation' metro stop.
Anyhow, well done a lot of culture blends going on in #30 cool |
nice work again... this is the part of paris where the urban fabric starts coming apart at the seams. but that's a good thing. it's interesting.

I think that there are rumours about transforming it into a tourist line. |
Very nice! Thanks for posting. I really hope to visit Paris soon, haven't made it there yet.
|
Looks good. I've stopped with the first ten pictures though...
|
God, I miss Paris.
|
|
Great!
You are covering quite a bit of the city with all those threads! |
Not really, Paris is so big, in some hundred meter the atmosphere can change.
The other photo threads will be "Paris rive gauche" a modern business and student district under in construction, "Saint Lazare" a crowded comercial district, "Le Marais" Jew and gay district of Paris, "Gare du Nord"... |
