Can you identify these shapes ?
Hello all,
This is my first post here, very interesting forum  I'm trying to identify the buildings on this picture. The ones with a red dot are the ones I can't identify. Any idea ? http://mgcontact2.free.fr/photos/alb.../buildings.jpg Thank you :) |
#6 I think it Chichen Itza
Other than that, I really can't identify them. I failed. :( lol |
They're obviously not to scale so that makes it a little tricky:
2. Central Plaza, Hong Kong 4. World Finance Tower, Shanghai 7. Shun Hing Square, Shenzen |
Thank you, I'll check and confirm.
I think "3" is the Mesk Tower in Dubai http://www.funonthenet.in/images/sto...0MeskTower.jpg |
"2" indeed really looks like the Central Plaza of HK but after seeing some pictures it is different.
Same for "7", it really looks like the Shun Hing Square but it is different. However "4" is indeed the World Finance Center of Shanghai, well done ! http://www.uidaho.edu/engr/cedept/al...%20WFC%202.jpg Chichen itza looks correct too : http://www.ethnociel.qc.ca/Images%20...el/chitzn1.gif |
LOL :haha:
I've just noticed that if you look at the above photo of the World Finance Center of Shanghai (number 4), the building next to it is the building number "2" :notacrook: I don't know its name though. |
Building #2 would be the China Merchants Tower. Building #7 is the China Insurance Building.
|
You are correct Mayday, well done ! :)

Between 2 and 3 I thought it was the Olympic stadium of Montreal but now I have a doubt...
|
|
My guess for #1 is Forbidden City in Beijing....
EDIT: actually nevermind that^. I think it actually might be the old Emperor Palace or something like that in Japan... and #5 I'm almost sure is in Dubai.. A very tall new building on their main strip. But I have no idea the name of it. |
Number 5 looks like Eureka Tower in Melbourne.

I'm fairly certain #1 isn't anything in Japan. The design looks more Chinese, but it's not the Forbidden Palace.
|
I forget the names, but 4 and 7 are in Shanghai.
I think MayDay's got it. |
hmmm....I know there's a large palace in South Korea, that could be #1.
|
#5 reminds me of Citic Plaza Bdg in Guangzhou
But it's obviously not the right building http://www.conscanton.esteri.it/NR/r...0006Small1.JPG |
