Too Bad this didn't materialize

Ok...So it's not in Chicago's Future....but it was at one time - That's good enough for me for this forum. This is a rendering of my 7 South Dearborn Sketchup model. Chase Tower was not modeled by me, but was found on Google 3d Warehouse.

Good work Ryan.

GD I hope that building gets built somewhere, anywhere, some day, with modern additions of course.

With the digital antenna and all of the work SOM put into it, it would seem to be an easy one to pick up if one is looking for a supertall broadcasting tower in which ever city it resides in regardless of city or country.

Wow, way cool Ryan81! That rendering really shows just how tall that thing really would have been; Chase seems so tall to me already, and to think that 7SD was that much taller--wow. It would probably have been a beauty from street level too: the stacked massing and those subtle setbacks would have made it really soar. Nice job.

Sweet man. I'm flattered that one of my shots made it onto one of your great works. It's almost sad to look at, but I'm staying hopeful that one day we'll have a view like that.

Nice work!

I love that star trek future render, its strange though that they never got around to covering up the railroad tracks in grant park after 100 years lol

Unfortunate

Too bad a lot of these haven't materialized. I, like many people I'm sure, am ready to see the next evolution of Chicago.

Umm, that wasnt a plan for the skyline. And not all proposals were cancelled. Many many great skyscrapers have been built since then in Chicago.

In 2055 will there be an intergalactic battle in the skies above Lake Michigan? If so, I hope I get a condo with a good view so that I won't miss it! (if I'm still alive then..)
