This one is like a mini BoA HQ in New York.
|
Is this one the site of that proposed 50 story condo tower or is it a different location?
|
No, same developer, same overall project but two different towers.
This one is in active pre-leasing so as soon as it can secure a large enough lead tenant it will be a go. |

this one is on the site of windsor station's 1940s addition, on saint antoine, the view is from where the old queen's hotel used to be, looking north ouest. hopefully this gets something going in this part of town, man, i'd love to see a bridge from the downtown into the developing griffintown area.

nice start on the passageway there, would really impress me if there were more of a plaza there, with an eye toward an eventual return of pedestrians to the area.
|
Based on that render, it appears that the ugly 1950's annex is going to be (at least partially) spared. You can see it squished in between the new tower and windsor station.
|
Bumbaru will appreciate.
|
Yup, "Ho honey, what did I do at work today? I saved the ugly 1950's Windsor annex that nobody cares about. What am I going to do tomorrow? I'm going to save the concrete agora at Place Viger!"

Interesting news regarding CF office project. This thread can be renamed Deloitte Tower I presume.

Great design. At 26 floors, this project's height will go to 124m, I guess. Which makes it exactly as tall as Altitude! Or, the 32 foot high lobby (10m) + 25 floors (4.75 x 25m = 119m) = 129m!
An unintended + with this project is that it will make Windsor station's square so much more urban in feel, now that it will be surrounded by imposing heights on all sides! |

Construction will start in October! |
Demolition is moving forward, not much visible from the outside, but they are gutting the inside

Good news. We should all be excited about this one, ok fine, it ain't that tall, but it is the FIRST sizeable office tower to go up since CCE 8 years ago now and the first privately funded one since the 90's (I'm not counting the 19 floor Quebecor tower on Square Victoria).
Itwill also become the 12th tallest in the city, edging out the BNC tower on Place d'armes. Can't wait to use my new camera when it starts going up  |
I think that I would have prefered this to be built on the other side of the street instead. I'm wondering if the block is going to look weird now with this tall building in the middle.
