Immediately to the East is the Living Arts Centre, City Hall, YMCA, Central Library, and several new condo towers that conform to good urban design standards. Parkside Village is expected to have around 6000 condos housing 12000 people, approximately 400 people per acre. It will also include 50,000 square feet of amenity space, as well as retail space at grade. Epic. Mississauga reminds me of Simcity for some reason.
I'm also probably the only person in the world who wouldn't freak out living in that subdivision next door and having awesome towers across the street. It seems like they need to expand that park and/or expand the school though to accomodoate the influx of people. |
What sort of mass transit are they planning for this city? I hope they're not planning to support this increased density with only cars and buses.

It is bad enough that Mississauga sprawled outward so much, all the way to its borders, but now it is sprawling upward as well. The sprawl just won't stop.
