Looking for photos of St. John's & Area (60s-90s)

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this page and was wondering if anyone knew of a site to find older photos of St. John's and area from 1960s - 1990s, or if people could post some here. Examples I am looking for are old photos of Avalon Mall, Village Mall, other businesses, stores, restaurants, etc.

Thanks

Check out this page on Facebook. It's called Vintage St. John's. They post pics from vintage to more current times.

You can also go to the city archives located on the 3rd floor of the Railway Museum, they have a vast collection of photographs you are free to look at. They will print copies for you at a pretty low cost.

There is another thread hidden in this section which has some 60s-90s photos:

I have some photos in my video I made about St. John's Airport for a national competition. Enjoy!

Make sure you contact The Rooms or visit the provincial archives as well. Memorial University's publications from that era are especially accessible, and often have some landscape photographs, not just groups of people on campus.
