Nice hotel.

south side of downtown sure is going to look different.....and it certainly needs it..way to many parking lots on that side, hopefully all of this will clean it up a little bit and more buildings will soon rise!

Sign must have just been put up.....across the street from the Wet Spot in Midtown.

Speaking of which - the Aloft Hotel was described in the HBJ as being 9 levels, but the rendering appears to be only 5. Where are the other 4 levels? |

I totally agree. The area will have a whole different feeling in no time soon. One parking lot at a time... |
This is very good progress. We must ensure we do everything we can to have these projects complete.

According to HAIF, there's a new project in the Midtown Square area just on the other side of the Pierce Elevated from downtown.
Casa di Moderna http://www.northgatecustomhomes.com/...samod_img1.jpg This will be in the same vicinity as Post Midtown Square, The Rise, The Edge, and the new Camden Apartment community. It's also the site of another midrise proposal being marketed by Suzanne Anderson Properties that is apparently selling very well... |
/\/\/\/\ Wow! That sure is...something?!

Does anybody have any news on the 25 story apartment building to rise on Memorial? Is it dead? Also (I don't know why I'm asking now) but I'm really tired of looking at the eyesore known as 801 Joseph (I think). It's the 30 story "Days Inn" that is now totally vacent. Why are they preserving this building? It would be cheaper to tear it down and start over. The building is a total loss.
|
^^ It was supposed to undergo an overhaul and a conversion to what they dubbed at the time "The Raider Lofts" or the like...
Not sure where that stands now... but I would assume it's safe to say it's dead. |
that whole area needs to be cleaned up............the problem is the bus station near by and all the trash that is over there
|
A new office tower is being planned for the Galleria. The 400,000 sq. ft. building is to be called 4 Oaks Place. I don't have access to the full HBJ, but you can find it on the site.

As for the Legacy at Memorial 25 story apartment tower near Studemont, I can't imagine it's dead. Legacy spent millions buying the property and plans from another developer just a few short months ago... |
