Usually the chinese build crazy fast especially for supertalls. Has there been a delay on this building? What has been taking it so long to go vertical and to complete the foundation?

cityenthusiast Jun 24, 2012 1:07 PM

Anyone having any new updates for this i love the rendering I hope it turns out the same way

Why do many Chinese supertalls have a circular foundation, regardless of the actual building shape?

scalziand Jul 2, 2012 7:07 PM

The circle is acting like two arches put together so the excavation walls remain supported while keeping the area where the tower is going in clear.

they have a billion people and a booming economy.

Because the government is paying for them with the intention of not making money. Much like the Burj Dubai, most of these supertalls will end up being money holes.
