i got built and that is a good thing. in fact, whether any of the towers get filled or not makes no difference. in the future they will in fact need all of these homes and then some. it is nice to know your city has the room to move in as many people that want to come. on top of that the have built an amazing looking city. i don't see any of this as negatives. remember that the planet just went through what amounts to a global bankruptcy. lucky for Dubai, they had the foresight to build before this happened. it would be impossible to build even a fraction of what is there in today's economic reality. so, in the end, building on spec, with credit, paid off big time for the UAE, and that is a fact.
