That makes sense. It's not like there were only a couple teams from out there (6/18). Were there any stories of teams or fans pushing for that?
The O must remain the O. There's 3 US teams out of 20 with 2 in MI and 1 in PA.
I just learned that it took until 2022 for Notre Dame to change the last lyric of their fight song (the most famous of them all) from "While her loyal sons are marching/Onward to victory." to "While her loyal sons and daughters/March on to victory." This was on the 50th anniversary of the school admitting women. And I'm sure basically all the womens games had the band or PA blasting their fight song. Plus they have mixed choirs singing the fight song at various venues that are not sports related. Just makes sense.
