What is Austin using that space for ? Definitely has room to grow, which it absolutely needs to. That airport (Austin) is always packed whenever I am there which makes sense with only 1 terminal and 34 gates.

It looks like they could add several 2,000'-long concourses in an Atlanta-like format between the two runways. There's an extravagant amount of land for it.
All the ancillary stuff seems to take multiples of the land is needs, and even with that there are vast unused areas.
