Good point, as well though they can be used as a gauge as to the museums overall height. We know that it will be 328 ft tall but to really appreciate this in this location the cranes will be a good visual. I'm pretty sure i saw once that the tower cranes will top out at around 280 ft for the boom so the tops should be a good indicator.

I know some are wondering how come the cranes will top out shorter than the final height of the tower, but as well, if i remember right the tower will be assembled by a crawler crane. This is because of the complexity in assembling the glazing for the "cloud" prohibits the use of the Tower Cranes.

....i guess we will have to watch and see.
