Wow, that photo is a few years old now. Club Phoenix, the black building with the disco ball on the right, is long gone and is now a Moxie's. I'm guessing February 2006 for this shot.
London's closest example to an urban canyon is Richmond between York and Dundas. I unfortunately don't have any photos, but here's a shot from Google Streetview...
