It's to bad it's no longer usable as a train station. It looked like a beautiful space inside for travelers.
Here was our original Union Station. No the location of the new one isn't in a different spot. the lake has just been pushed back further south. In fact when they dig out for new buildings such as Telus and Ripley's they've been uncovering old dock footings. The clock tower now resides in Muskoka over the Huntsville town hall. I think the newer building is a worthy replacement of the old structure. Where you see that small farm house in front of it is where the Royal York stands today. image 1873 Google image
