The Evolution of The Grove
A South City neighborhood on the rise. Manchester Avenue is the main strip of the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood, which is experiencing rejuvenation.
MILLIONS have been spent in recent years renewing the
Tower Grove,
Forest Park Southeast and Botanical Heights neighborhoods, which sit near the Washington University Medical Center and CORTEX.
In addition to the many residential renovations and new construction infills in the neighborhoods, the main commercial strip (Manchester Avenue) has been blossoming with new and planned businesses as well as commercial building renovations.

Urban Chestnut Brewery under construction. The old Renard Paper Company complex is being converted into the
new brewery hub for Urban Chestnut Brewery, which is opening a second city location on the Manchester Strip.

Many commercial buildings and storefronts are being renovated on the Manchester Strip.
The Manchester Strip is home to all kinds of restaurants, bars, boutiques, coffee houses, dessert places, gay-oriented bars and businesses, music venues etc.

MoDot recently repaved Manchester Avenue (aka Missouri Route 100). The city added lots of new streetscape. The goal is to make Manchester Avenue one of America's "Great Streets".
