Loved your write up, excellently done, although allow me to correct one point pertaining to the Royal York Hotel, it was surpassed in height by Commerce Court North in 1930 and Commerce Court reigned as the tallest building in Toronto until the 56 storey original tower of the Toronto Dominion Centre was completed in 1967.

Kensington Market is indeed of the coolest places in the city to walk around and take in all the far-out sights and sounds, a true bohemian enclave and quite unique too, nothing quite like it among most big North American cities -- Camden Town in London is the nearest thing I can think of that compares.
