I am not sure we should really get hung up on the word "narrative". Even though I am the one who brought it up. It's more... "what's this country about... fundamentally?"

Anyway, in terms of narratives, this one isn't bad TBQH.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
MOTHER OF EXILES. From her beacon-hand
