hkskyline's 2018 in Macau

Macau just got a bit easier to reach with a new bridge connecting it to Hong Kong opening last month. With some advanced planning to beat the crowds, it is a cheaper option than taking the otherwise frequent ferries. Initial patronage figures look good, with the first weekend seeing massive crowds and long lines.

Being the weekend, the historic centre was bursting with tourists, which made walking around quite difficult. However, they tend to stay on the main shopping streets, so it gets back to serenity again just a block out.

This grand building is the city's main post office. Typical of government workers' typical complacency, the worker on duty did not have the key to open the glass cases for a purchase. Apparently, the previous shift's staff didn't leave it behind as he should have, so we were suggested to come back Monday.

Seems the other tourists forgot there is a pawn shop that has been converted into a museum nearby.
