Mitchell Street
I have fond memories of Mitchell Street/Spring/Forsyth streets. Back when I worked in the area, it was very vibrant. It catered to bank professionals at NationsBank (now BofA) Operations Center, Norfolk Southern (before its move to Midtown), and federal government workers with its various restaurants, barbers/hair salons, cleaners, clothing boutiques, etc. It was a busy area especially during the day.
The consolidation of BofA to other locations and the move of Norfolk Southern to Midtown dealt a blow to the vibrancy but I always loved the layout, look, feel of the area.
